Get To Know – 2028 Nick Grice

As we continue this Get To Know series, we look at more 2028 players who are about to begin their high school basketball careers. Another one of these is Nick Grice.

Earlier this fall we covered his high school and grassroots teammates in forward Ben Hills. Grice and Hills were a very formidable duo with Ray Allen Select throughout season on the GNBA. The duo made a dominant team along with Joey Kohnen. Grice was a big part of this team that was able to win the 14U platinum championship at the NY2LA Invitational back in May as well as the NY2LA Wisconsin Spring Showdown back in April.

With his great versatility and consistent play, Grice was one of the most impactful players on the entire GNBA during this past season. All season long, whatever was need of him, he accomplished. He showed the ability to score it efficiently in the paint, playing on the attack, as well on the outside shooting threes but could also make a great impact without scoring the ball. The 6’3” wing consistently showed his defensive ability matching up anyone on the floor effectively. He has a good blend of athleticism and energy to shut down opponents defensively. Grice has also shown the ability to dominate the glass as well as be a playmaker creating for others off the dribble. There were very few players on the GNBA that has his combination of talents.

Up next for Grice is the move up to the high school level. For the high school season, Grice has made the varsity team at Homestead High School (WI) where they have started with a 2-0 record. Along with his Ray Allen Select teammate Ben Hills, the team has a talented roster with Trevor Polite, Justin Bliesner, Michael Rogers, Olivet Belot, and others.
