The NY2LA Thanksgiving Shootout tips off this weekend at Homestead High School in Mequon, Wisconsin. This tournament will include both school feeder programs as well as grassroots teams at the 10U-14U age groups. Teams from both Wisconsin and Illinois will be participating in the Thanksgiving Shootout.
The tournament will get started this Saturday at 9am and conclude on Sunday with bracket play. The stars of tomorrow will be front and center over the weekend. Past NY2LA tournament players include many current NBA players such as Jayson Tatum, Jalen Brunson, Jalen Johnson, Chet Holmgren, Tyler Herro, Tyrese Haliburton, among dozens of others. Midwest Hoops Spotlight will be in attendance providing full coverage of the entire tournament.
Some of the grassroots programs that will be in attendance are Team Herro, Chapman Basketball Academy, PGC, ALL IN, Power 5, Illinois Attack, Illinois Central Elite, ABC Young Lions, among others. This is in addition to some school feeder programs including Sun Prairie West, Brown Deer, Muskego, Arrowhead, Milwaukee Academy of Science, Brookfield East, and others.
