While just midway through his first year at the high school level, Shawn Foster is already on plenty of college coaches’ radars. The highly skilled 6’1” guard of Lima Senior High School (OH) already looks to be one of the top 2027 guards in the entire region.
Even before entering high school, Foster was able to pick up his first offer coming from in-state Cincinnati back in August. More recently during the winter he has added offers from Toledo and then Duquesne. “It feels good to have multiple offers as a freshman. It’s helping me work harder and be the best version of myself I can,” he said about already holding the trio of offers very early on in his recruitment.
Not only does he have the three offers already but is starting to attract a number of other suitors. Cleveland State, Dayton, Iowa State, Michigan, Ohio, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Xavier are among the other school showing interest so far.
“I’m a very good scorer,” Foster first said describing his own game. Currently, the guard is averaging 17 points for Lima Senior. “I can help my teammates get open shots, create for my teammates so they can get easy buckets. I’m a good defender, I can pick up at half court or full court if needed. I use my length to my advantage.” He is also averaging 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals per game.
Following his freshman season at Lima Senior, Foster will once again be playing with All Ohio Red in the spring grassroots season.
