2027 G Charles Schlicht Getting On Colleges Radars

Whether it has been with PAC Elite over the past couple of years or during his high school career at Grant Community, 6’2” Charles Schlicht has consistently played at an extremely high level. While flying under the radar, he has quietly been one of the top two guards in Illinois’ 2027 class.

In his sophomore season, Schlicht averaged 14.5 points and 5 rebounds per game for Grant. He was able to earn himself all-conference honors in the NLCC. Then throughout the grassroots season, he shined even more with PAC Elite highlighted by his great scoring ability. He was consistently one of the top scorers at the 16U level of the NY2LA Platinum Elite. This was even more clear in July at both the NY2LA Final Chapter and Summer Jam tournaments where he had multiple twenty-five or more point games at each. He led his team to a 3-1 record at each of these two tournaments.

While Schlicht has continued to develop more of his all-around game this year, he still shines most with his scoring. He is a proven three level scorer who also has the ability to create for himself. In addition to his extremely high offensive skill set, he showed improved quickness, strength, and athleticism this summer.

With this elevated level of play, Schlicht has started to get himself on the radar of college coaches. While the junior has yet to land his first offer, he started to draw interest from both division two and NAIA programs.

As he moves into his junior high school season, look for the college interest only to greatly grow. In the season, he is looking to win a regional championship as well as earn all-conference and all-conference honors.
