2026 Trey Williams Breaks Down First Offer

One of the newest player from Illinois’ 2026 class to pick up their first division one offer recently was Trey Williams. Earlier this month, the 6’3” point guard of Loyola Academy and Breakaway Basketball was offered by Navy.

“Picking up my first offer was the greatest feeling,” Williams said about receiving his first offer. “Getting to hear those words that they are going to offer you is such a great experience and it was kind of unexpected as well.”

After being offered by Navy, there are already some aspects Williams likes about the service academy. “I think what I like most is probably the other things outside of basketball that you can get out of Navy and the different opportunities that can arise from attending the academy,” Williams said.

Following the offer, Williams took a visit east out to the Annapolis campus. “The city was super cool and the facilities and campus were amazing as well,” he had to say about his visit to Navy.

In addition to the Navy offer, Williams also has a few other division one programs recruiting him. This includes some programs from both the Patriot and Ivy Leagues.

During the first June live period, Williams and Loyola Academy went 4-0 at the Riverside Brookfield Shootout which included some impressive wins over Bolingbrook, Whitney Young, and Lemont. In this upcoming weekend’s live period, college coaches can see the point guard at the Romeoville Shootout.
