2026 Matthew Kloskey Stars In State Title Game

From the five championship games at the Kohl Center in Madison on Saturday, Matthew Kloskey was one of the biggest stars of the day. He was a huge piece in the overtime victory for Wauwatosa West over Racine Park in the Wisconsin division three championship game.

“It feels really good to win especially with this being the first one for ‘Tosa west, real special and surreal feeling,” Kloskey said about capturing the gold ball. The championship finished off a 24-6 season for Kloskey and Wauwatosa West. It was a breakout junior season for Kloskey. After averaging 11.9 points and 4.7 rebounds as a sophomore in the previous season, he upped his numbers to 22 points and 7.8 rebounds in addition to 2.1 assists and 2 steals.

In the 60-57 victory, the 6’5” junior wing came to play when it was needed most scoring a game high 29 points. He did this on an incredibly efficient 14-18 shooting from the field. He was also able to grab a game high 7 rebounds. “My teammates and coaches staff all believed in me and i had confidence throughout the whole game and knew what I had to do to win,” he said about his performance in this game.

With the growth of his game and his breakout junior season, Kloskey has continued to see his recruitment grow with interest from numerous division one programs. Amongst these schools are Bethune Cookman, Green Bay, Milwaukee, North Alabama, Western Illinois, among others.

Next up for Kloskey in the spring grassroots season he will be suiting up for Team Herro.
