2026 Kameron Bean Flying Under The Radar

While his recruitment has started up following a star grassroots season with the West Michigan Lakers, Kameron Bean is still flying under the radar. The 6’0” senior was one of the top point guards on the NY2LA Platinum Elite during the spring and summer.

Prior to the grassroots season, Bean averaged 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists in his junior season for Kalamazoo Central High School. With the West Michigan Lakers, he took these numbers up a level. At the NY2LA Next Level Invitational during the May live period, he averaged 19.3 points per game along with 6.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists. Then during the first July live period at the NY2LA Final Chapter he grew his scoring numbers to be one of the top of the tournament putting up 20.3 points per game. He was also getting it done on the defensive side while averaging 2 steals per game.

“My first and only season with the Lakers was great. I really enjoyed the coaching from Coach Kaman. Met new players who became good friends, just a really great program overall,” Bean said about his grassroots season with the West Michigan Lakers.

“I’m a three-level scorer that’s always in attack trying to create for me and my teammates,” Bean said to describe his own game. “I really take pride on the defensive end and look forward into stopping a team’s best player.” Bean plays incredibly quick with the ball as a dynamic playmaker on the attack but is also a consistent outside shooter averaging two threes made a game over those two tournaments.

His recruitment got a jumpstart back in June with an offer from Southwestern Michigan College. He has also drawn some interest at the division three level. With his great playmaking abilities on both ends of the floor including being able to score it in bunches, Bean should be on plenty of more college coaches radars and is especially is a must see target for division three programs in the region.
