2026 G Evan Darrah Flying Under The Radar

A guard who has continued to fly under the radar in Indiana’s 2026 class has been Evan Darrah. He started for a very good New Palestine team this past season as a junior. They won 26 games and went to the state final four. He has also starred over the past couple of seasons playing for the All Area program.

Darrah has consistently shined with his great shooting ability. With All Area this May at the NY2LA Next Level Invitational, he was one of the top shooters and scorers of the entire tournament. This included games of 24 points and 23 points. During the tournament he also averaged four made threes per game getting it done very efficiently shooting 46.2% from three. He was also nearly automatic from the free throw line at 91.7% for the tournament. “Great,” is how Darrah described his grassroots season. “I was looked upon to be the leader for the team again this year. I was able to do that not only with scoring but also did a great job of distributing the ball, rebounding and most importantly was able to defend at a much higher level this year.

For New Palestine he has already shown he is ready to step into a larger role in his senior season. In their June season, he averaged 21 points while they recorded a 10-3 record.

While he has yet to receive any offers, Darrah said his recruitment is starting to pick up. He is currently receiving interest from programs at the division two, three, and NAIA levels. He is currently in the process of scheduling visits for the fall. As well to his knockdown shot making ability, a few aspects the senior thinks he can bring to the college level are being a leader, good facilitator, solid defender, and great athlete.

With the opportunity for an expanded role at New Palestine this season, look for Darrah to become a popular name in Indiana’s 2026 class.
