One of the biggest sleepers in the Midwest, Saint Louis (Missouri.) St. Mary’s 2025 point guard Zyree Collins put together a strong and eye-opening EYBL season. Playing for Bradley Beal Elite, Collins averaged 11 points and three assists per game while leading his squad to a 10-5 record.
Holding six scholarship offers ahead of his senior season, Collins said two programs are currently prioritizing him.
Miami OH: “They’re a good program, like a brotherhood. Their style of play, I like how they run their system.”
Murray State: “Same thing pretty much. It’s not far from home either. Good system, good coaching staff.”
St. Louis, Southern Indiana, Southeast Missouri State, and Lindenwood have also offered the 6-foot floor general.
Collins took a visit to SEMO during his junior year.
“It felt like home. It kind of is home,” Collins explained. “They made me feel a part of the team. I watched practice. It was just a great tour.”
Collins has not set any official visits, but plans to take some in June. He’s also receiving interest from DePaul, Illinois State, UW-Milwaukee, and others. Among that group, Collins said the Blue Devils appear most serious.
“They said they’ve gotta get the head coach down to watch me play,” Collins explained. “I knew coach Mullins (Bryan Mullins) when he was at SIU. I took a visit down there when he was head coach. We have a good relationship. He’s a good guy. I think he’s a very good coach. He knows his guys and runs a very good system.”
Collins plans to play out July before making a decision.
“I want a place that understands me,” he said. “Wherever I fit in most, really.”
