2024 JAHEEM WEBBER BREAKS DOWN RECRUITMENT

From the start of his high school career, Jaheem Webber was an impactful and talented post. Now as a junior, he has only continued to trend greatly upwards. The 6’9” post of Normal Community High School and the Illinois Wolves has continued to generate plenty of college interest over the past year including a few offers for himself.

So far, the junior has received a trio of scholarship offers. In July, Illinois State was his first offer. Since then, Southern Illinois and Bradley have also offered him. As well to his offers, he has interest from a number of mid-major and high-major programs. He visited Belmont, Illinois, and Iowa during the fall.

When discussing his first offer, Webber said “Illinois State is the college in my hometown where I live so it’s easy to go watch games and stay in touch with coaches.”

“Southern Illinois is the first school I ever visited last year, they have great coaches and a very nice campus,” Webber said about the Missouri Valley Conference program.

For Bradley, he said “It’s close to home and they also have a great coaching staff and great trainers.”

Webber is currently fifth in the NY2LA Illinois 2024 rankings and is one of the top big men in the region. As well to being 6’9”, he plays with great strength and physicality to be a dominant force inside. As well with his skills, Webber is a unique prospect who should continue to see his recruitment grow.
