2024 CAMDEN CERESE IS STILL AVAILABLE

After a breakout all-state junior season, the game of Camden Cerese has only continued to grow into this season. This also follows a grassroots season in which he was one of the top guards on the entire NY2LA Association while playing with Greater Purpose Athletics.

During his stellar junior season, Cerese averaged 21 points per game but has been able to grow this to 25 points in his current senior season while shooting 54.5% from the field. This is in addition to averaging 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. He is a big reason why Lake Park High School (IL) stands at a lofty 13-3 record. The senior was a big reason why Lake Park was able to advance all the way to the championship game at the recent Pekin Holiday Tournament where he was named to the all-tournament team. He was the leading scorer of the entire tournament averaging 25.5 points.

Currently, the senior holds an offer from Lewis University which he got back in the summer. With just the lone scholarship offer from the in-state division two program, Cerese remains as one of the state’s most under recruited players and top uncommitted seniors. Over the past couple of years, he has continued to prove he is one of the more skilled scorers in Illinois. He has shown to be a legitimate three level scorer with a great ability to score around the mid-range and paint and has continued to become a better three-point shooter. Much more than a scorer however, he has size in the backcourt at the 6’3”, plays well with the ball in his hands running the point, and is a solid on-ball defender. Cerese has consistently proven that he is a scholarship level talent.

In addition to his Lewis University offer, he has also been getting interest from division one and two programs. Among the list of programs includes Eastern Illinois and Western Illinois. Cerese currently has no official plans on when he is looking to make his college commitment. “Look forward to continuing my recruiting process and ultimately finding the right fit for me.”
