The class of 2021 continues to see highly talented young prospects pop up in various parts of the country.  Last night we dipped into Tennessee and this morning we head up to Illinois where Rolling Meadows High School standout guard Max Christie is already opening eyes night in and night out.

Equipped with a long lean 6-4 plus length frame, Christie is a skilled instinctive guard with ranges who can flip the scoreboard in bunches.  His perimeter stroke extends well beyond the arc, he’s shown an ability to put the ball on the floor and finish, and he has a developing mid-range package that continues to impress and create options for him and versatility in scoring the basketball.  Add to the mix an ability to create and distribute as well as activity and instincts rebounding the basketball and there are a lot of high quality things to like about this impressive freshman, whose only 14 years old right now.

When you start talking about Top 50 caliber freshman nationally, Max Christie is in the mix of that conversation with anyone in the know.  Don’t believe the hype, the results speak for themselves early as Christie is averaging over 18 points a game along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds while shooting over 50 percent from the field and close to 50 percent from long range.

The young freshman already holds an offer from De Paul and he’s collecting early interest from Northwestern, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Loyola-Chicago, Illinois State, Stanford, etc.  Hitting the hardwood with the Illinois Wolves travel program that’s had a long history of success with the likes of Evan Turner, Frank Kaminsky, etc. amongst others, the future is extremely bright for this soaring young talent and you can expect his recruiting trail to fill up substantially over the next 24-36 months as he’s one of the prized 2021 prospects in the country.
