It was a fast start for Homestead who was able to jump out to an early double digit start behind Oliver Belot and a host of others. However, De Pere would not go away and stormed back in the second half and was able grab the lead midway through that period. The game was tight throughout the rest of the second half with Homestead making just a couple more plays in the end to come away with the 57-54 road victory.
Oliver Belot – 2027 – SG – Homestead
The skilled and crafty guard got off a to a quick start in this game with six early points to help Homestead get a quick double-digit lead. His scoring continued as he led Homestead in the game with 16 points. The junior scored it extremely well on his drives getting into the paint. All around the paint Belot showed tremendous footwork and moves maneuvering around defenders to give himself good looks and finish at a high percentage. Belot also shot it well from the outside going 2-3 from three included a clutch triple to stop a De Pere run with just over 2 minutes to play and retake the lead.
Gio Green – 2026 – F/C – Homestead
Green turned in a big performance helping Homestead to the win with 15 points along with 10 rebounds. He is a strong 6’6” post with a powerful build who was just able to bully defenders around the basket. The senior scored it on a high percentage of his touches posting up just being able to score right through defenders as well as finishing over both shoulders effectively. In the win, he was also able to make an impact with his interior defense blocking a couple of shots as well to showing a good passing ability both in the post and on the perimeter.
Will Krueger – 2027 – G/F – De Pere
Krueger continues to show his great shooting ability. In this game he led all with 19 points while hitting five threes in the game. The lengthy and athletic 6’5” wing has consistently proven to be one of the top shooters in Wisconsin’s 2027 class with his pure jumper spotting up. In the game he was moving very well without the ball to get good looks and can quickly get his shot off. Krueger also showed his great range hitting a couple of these from well beyond the arc. He also added in 5 rebounds, an assists and a block in the game.
Noah Maniscalco – 2026 – G – De Pere
After a slow first half, the highly skilled guard quickly got it going in the second half. In the second half alone, he scored 13 points. He got off quickly in the second half with a driving basket to start off the period and also hit a pair of threes in the comeback run including one to take the lead. When he gets going, the available senior is a pure scorer who is tough to stop. Maniscalco also added in 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
