It has been a very noteworthy junior season for Zeak Jones of Dominican High School (WI) and the Power 5 program. Not only has he been one of the top scorers in the state, but the 6’4” guard has also made headlines with his recruitment too.
Already in 2026, Jones has picked up a pair of division one offers. This started last when Wyoming offered him who had been recruiting him since the summer. “What I like most is how consistent they’ve been keeping regular contact and making it clear they believe in my game and my potential. I really respect how straightforward and genuine the coaching staff has been,” Jones had to say about the Cowboys.
Then this past weekend, Jones also added an offer from UW-Green Bay. When asked about them, the junior stated “I really like their recruiting approach, the coaches truly believe in my game, and the program is clearly starting to take a positive turn.” The newest pair of offers bring his total count of offers up to seven. The programs having previously offered him include Bethune-Cookman, Eastern Illinois, LaSalle, Northwestern State, and Queens University. Some of the other programs recruiting him include Miami (OH), North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, South Dakota State, and UIC.
Back in the fall, Jones had taken a pair of visits going to Miami (OH) and Northern Iowa. “My visit to Miami was great. The atmosphere stood out to me right away, and I liked how strong their program is both on the court and academically. The coaching staff did a great job showing how I could fit into their system and develop as a player and person,” Jones said. On his to Northern Iowa, he called it “very positive.” Adding in “I liked the culture around the program, the toughness they play with, and how detailed the coaches were about player development. You can tell they take pride in their system and preparing guys to compete at a high level.”
Currently in his junior season, Jones is averaging 30.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per game for Dominican High School.
