With all the holiday tournaments across the region, there were plenty of star performances.
Jaxson Davis earned himself MVP of the Big Dipper Tournament with one of the top performances of the season. This came with a 51 point game by the star junior in the title game win in addition to 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. He did this while shooting 7-9 from three.
Another player to go over the lofty 50 point mark in Illinois was Keison Peoples. The senior guard and Winona State commit went off for 56 points which was a school record for Bismarck-Henning-Rossville-Alvin.
Another Winona State commit putting up some big numbers recently was Bryce Wegrzyn of Libertyville. The 6’9” senior set a tournament record at the Wheeling Hardwood Classic while scoring 133 points. He was also among the rebounding leaders with 35. In the tournament, he scored 56 points in a single game.
Purdue commit Luke Ertel continues to put up some huge stat lines in his senior season for Mt. Vernon. This was headlined by a 36 point, 11 rebounds, 5 assist, and 4 steal performance. He also added in a game with 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Zavier Zens earned himself MVP at the Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach. The Northern Iowa commit not only scored 26 points in a game but also hit the game winning jumper. In another game he went off for an incredibly efficient 34 points shooting 15-17 from the field and added in 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Wisconsin Lutheran.
6’7” Senior forward RJ McPartlin had one of the more dominant performances at the Jack Tosh Tournament. This came with 30 points along with 17 rebounds.
While just a freshman, Braysen Russell had one of the most dominant performances recently. This included 46 points while hitting a school record 12 threes for Madison.
Junior Keaton Wollan had himself a career scoring high when he went for 41 points for Amery. In another recent game, Wollan did it all with 29 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals.
In a win at the Big Dipper Tournament, Marquis Clark scored 35 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists.
The sensational season for Jayden Riley continues with another mention in this series. Most recently the SIUE commit put up 37 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals in a game.
At the State Farm Holiday Classic, Jackson Bohm was the leading scorer. The senior averaged 26.5 points over the course of the tournament. This included a double-double game with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists. In another game he scored 38 points to hit the 1,000-career point milestone.
Carter Crum not only scored 32 points in a win for Parke Heritage but also added in 10 rebounds for the double-double.
Blake Risler had himself another high scoring performance with his outside shooting. Most recently this was with a 36 point performance for Regis. He followed that up with a 30 point game.
