It was a star-studded matchup that featured one of the top teams in Wisconsin in West Allis Central versus one of the best in Minnesota in defending state champions, Wayzata. Each side features multiple scholarship players but the headline matchup was a pair of Iowa State commits in Yusef Gray facing Christian Wiggins. This game did not disappoint with the stars shining and an extremely tight game with West Allis Central grabbing a 67-64 win.

Yusef Gray – 2026 – G – West Allis Central

The Iowa State commit turned in a star performance leading West Allis Central to a win while scoring a game high 27 points. Whether it was in transition or in the half court, the explosive guard was getting to the basket and finishing so effectively all game. Gray had multiple and one plays as well to several dunks from the bouncy 6’5” guard. The senior guard also creates well for himself in the mid-range hitting a tough contested and-one jumper. Down the stretch he also made some clutch plays including a three with under two minutes to cut the deficit to one point and then a pair of free throws with just 25 seconds to play to go up one. More than just a scorer, Gray also added in 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the winning effort.

Max Jones – 2027 – G – West Allis Central

While it may not have been Jones best game, he was still able to make a big impact and some key plays in the victory. This included a key three to put West Allis Central up one with just three minutes to play. The strong 6’4” guard finished the game with 10 points. He also recorded 4 assists showing good vision and decision making on the attack setting up his teammates for a couple of easy baskets inside off his drives.

Isaac Olmstead – 2026 – PG – Wayzata

Olmstead started the game on fire from the outside to build an early lead for Wayzata. This included a trio of threes in just the first four minutes of play. He also hit back-to-back threes late in the game too. The senior is an incredibly gifted shot maker from the outside with a great ability to create his own shot with deep range hitting multiple threes from well beyond the arc. He is such an elusive and skilled playmaker with the ball in his hands who cannot only catch fire from the outside but also facilitate it out very well. He is a highly skilled passer with great vision on the move. Olmstead is committed to Minnesota Duluth.

Kevin Pittman – 2026 – C – West Allis Central

Pittman may have not made his impact in the scoring column but still contributed in the win in a big way. This included controlling the glass with 10 rebounds aggressively attacking the ball at 6’10” just grabbing everything around him. As well to his height, Pittman has also shown some added strength to his frame. This was in addition to his tough interior defensive play. He had a pair of blocks in the game as well to several stops inside include some key ones down the stretch of this tight game. In his limited paint touches, he did score on a strong post up move as well to making some good passes including on a key three down the stretch.

Christian Wiggins – 2026 – G – Wayzata

As a high schooler, Wiggins already has such a complete game. He has great positional size at 6’5” with a college ready body in addition to a very well-rounded game. He led the way for Wayzata scoring 23 points. The Iowa State commit showed his ability to score it efficiently from all three levels but also make a big impact as a distributor, rebounding, and defensive play. He is a gifted shot maker that hit a trio of threes as well to playing strong with the ball to get into the mid-range and paint to score but also is unselfish looking to distribute it out too.
