The elite eight round of the Jack Tosh Tournament featured a must-see matchup of 11-2 St. Ignatius taking on 9-3 Metamora. While Metamora turned in a good performance, St. Ignatius got star performances from both Nico Harris and Chris Bolte to capture a 79-68 win.
Chris Bolte – 2026 – F – St. Ignatius
There is so much to like from the game of Bolte as he is a strong 6’7” forward with a well-rounded game. The Yale commit finished the win with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists. He showed his shooting ability hitting three threes as well to a mid-range jumper but also his ability to attack the basket with a trio of powerful two hand dunks of his drives. He showed his size and strength on the glass with his ability to grab everything around him but also his agility playing on the attack with a nice spin move as well as avoiding charges. With his 24 points, Bolte reached the 1,000th career point mark. Bolte has a great blend of physical tools and skills that should translate well to the Ivy League next season for him.
Nico Harris – 2026 – PG – St. Ignatius
Right from the start of this game Harris just could not be stopped in this sensational performance by the senior. The lengthy point guard led the way with a game high 28 points in addition to 5 rebounds and 6 assists. He moves extremely well with the ball on the attack with his change of speeds and burst of quickness getting all the way to the rim so quickly. He was electric especially in the first three quarters building a double-digit lead for St. Ignatius as he was consistently getting into the paint and creating. Even while scoring in bunches, Harris still looked to distribute it. Harris also hit a three in the game as well to playing with great energy both defending the ball and chasing down rebounds.
Brady Jones – 2028 – SF – Metamora
It was another highly effective game for Jones at the Jack Tosh Tournament. In the previous round he had 19 points and 13 rebounds in an overtime win and followed that up with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists in this one. While just a sophomore, Jones already has good size at 6’6” in addition to a solid frame. He moves very well without the ball scoring on several cuts to the basket in the game as well to some physical straight-line drives and posting up.
Collin Morrison – 2028 – PG – Metamora
Even while coming off the bench, Morrison was still able to score 16 points. He came alive in the fourth quarter leading a comeback attempt making a ton of plays. This was highlighted by his great outside shooting ability where he hit three of his four three pointers. The guard has plenty of range also showed his ability to create his own shot hitting a tough step back three. In the fourth quarter alone, he also collected a two of his three assists and was playing some tough on ball defensive including coming up with a steal ripping the ball right from his man and turned it into a transition basket.
Duke Ross – 2027 – SF – St. Ignatius
Ross excelled in his role in this win taking advantage of all his opportunities. He finished the game with 15 points doing the bulk of it with his outside shooting. Ross has a smooth jumper spotting up from the outside with good range hitting three threes in this game. He also brings some size at 6’5” as well as good length in addition to being an energetic defender.
