This second round matchup of the Wheeling Hardwood Classic featured scholarship level players on each side with Fremd taking on Libertyville. While it was close throughout, Fremd held a lead all the way through and finished with the 65-56 win behind their trio of Jordan Williams, Tommy Moffett, and Rafael Pinto.

Nick Baker – 2028 – PG – Libertyville

Baker can flat out shoot the basketball. Whether it was off the dribble, coming off screens and quickly getting into his shot or spotting up from the outside, the sophomore was knocking down his shots on his way to a 16 point performance. He went 4-7 from three as well to hitting a tough pull up mid-range jumper.

Tommy Moffett – 2026 – SF – Fremd

While he scored 8 points, Moffett did so much more and was a crucial part of the win for Fremd. He also added in 6 rebounds and 4 assists, while shooting 4-6 from the field. This was in addition to his defensive play often being matched up up against a 6’9” post. He’s a true glue player who can do whatever is needed of him. In the win, he got off to a fast start scoring Fremd’s first two baskets as well to assisting on the third one. While an efficient scorer attacking the basket, Moffett also showed good court vision and passing ability creating for his teammates. This all comes after a 17 point and 13 rebound performance in the previous rounds game.

Rafael Pinto – 2026 – SG – Fremd

The way Pinto continues to play and with all his tools, more colleges should be looking his way. As well to his positional size as a 6’5” two guard, Pinto can also do so much on the court. The guard can really shoot the ball from the outside going 2-3 from three in the win on his way to scoring 21 points on a highly efficient 6-9 shooting from the field plus 7-7 from the line. He also showed a very good ability defensively moving well at his size defending the ball and putting pressure with his length plus being able to defend guards and wings both effectively.

Jordan Williams – 2026 – SF – Fremd

Whether it was running the point, battling down in the paint, or scoring it at a high rate, Williams was doing it all in the win. He was tied for the games leading scorer with 24 points as well to the leading rebounder with 8. All game he was incredibly tough to stop getting all the way to the basket. He beat defenders both with his moves as well to his physicality. At 6’6” he can finish over a lot of defenders as well to using tremendous footwork around the paint to finish versus size. Williams also plays with great energy and aggressiveness, especially on the glass rebounding in plenty of traffic. The senior is committed to Illinois State.

Bryce Wegrzyn – 2026 – F/C – Libertyville

As well to being 6’9” the senior has good mobility as well to showing some skills on the offensive side. When he got the ball inside posting up battling hard for position, he was nearly unstoppable with his size and good touch. He tied for a game high 24 points. Wegrzyn also showed his ability to drive to the basket and finish effectively around the paint as well to hitting a three in this one. Wegrzyn is committed to Winona State.
