The 2026 class of prospects is still a top priority for most schools but there are a host of 2027 prospects that continue to trend up quickly across the Midwest. One such talent is Eli Krueger of McFarland HS in Wisconsin.
A talented 6-9 210 pound plus forward, Krueger’s skill set and size are intriguing to many already and the emerging forward is really just stepping into the room with a very high ceiling. A solid perimeter shooting big with range that extends beyond the arc, Krueger can score at all three levels but his footwork and ability to see the floor and create really elevates the package he brings to the table right now. Like most young bigs the talented forward is sill developing his ability to score off the bounce but his court awareness and feel combined with his ceiling and current skill package are quickly making him one of the must watch prospects in the 2027 class in the Midwest. He can fill the box score on any given night and his ability to impact the game in a versatile and consistent has already created a solid amount of attention from schools at the Division 1 and high Division 2 levels.
Krueger currently holds offers from Toledo, Southern Utah, UW-Green Bay, Winona State, Northern Michigan, Michigan Tech, and Lake Superior State. He also has upcoming visits lined up with South Dakota State, Miami of Ohio, and Illinois-Chicago. As he continues to refine his skill set and develop physically in the weight room expect Krueger’s game to continue to really take off and schools to continue to follow in hot pursuit.
He plays with the Wisconsin Swing program during the grassroots travel season.
