For the majority of the first half, it was tight between La Follette and Tremeper. Towards the end of the first half, La Follette started a run which continued right from the start of the second half too. They got star performances from their duo of Thian Riak and Reece Jordan who led the way in the lopsided 101-59 victory with a dominant second half.
Josiah DeLacy – 2026 – PG – Tremper
The point guard showcased his playmaking ability in this game as he was consistently getting into the paint in this game. Not only did DeLacy score in double figures but also finished with several assists. He proved to be a skilled passer dishing out on target passes while reading the floor well and quickly zipping out passes. He plays with good toughness too as he finished it well on the attack inside with a couple of and one plays. This was in addition to on the glass just battling taller players to collect several hard fought rebounds.
Reece Jordan – 2027 – PG – La Follette
It was a very effective game for Jordan who scored 24 points in the dominant win. Jordan excelled getting into the mid-range and around the paint to score the bulk of his points. He used his physicality to body his way into the paint and used his height to score right over smaller defenders. The junior hit multiple fade away jumpers in the mid-range and even showed some good post moves on the block for a basket. Jordan plays strong with the ball and has great body control on the attack consistently finishing through contact at the basket. The guard showed an elevated scoring package and was beating defenders in every way.
Jacob Prahl – 2026 – G/F – Tremper
Prahl greatly impressed in the first half making plenty of plays to keep the game tight. In the first half alone he scored 11 points while making an impact in a variety of ways. The wing has some size at 6’5” as well to showing some offensive skills too. He shot the ball well hitting both a three and a pullup mid-range jumper. He has some length and provides some size in the paint defensively but can also match up on the perimeter.
Thian Riak – 2026 – SF – La Follette
Riak came back from his injury in a big way with a game high 30 points. Not only did he score the ball at a high rate but also made in impact in a variety of ways on both ends. The wing stands at 6’5” with good length as well to being an incredibly explosive athlete. He is one of the bounciest players in the region with a quick second jump too. He had several highlight reel dunks in the game but also controlled the glass just being able to rise over everyone. He did much of his scoring heading to the basket showing the ability to beat defenders off the dribble and also hit a three off the dribble. Riak also made plenty of plays defensively, defending both inside and out effectively, blocking shots, forcing turnovers, and several deflections in the passing lanes.
