This matchup at the Washington TOC featured O’Fallon facing off against Mater Dei out of California. While the stars of Mater Dei shined with Luke Barnett and Richie Ramirez, O’Fallon was able to stay in this game throughout getting contributions from Ben Akoro, Jayden Dancy, Sutton Massey, Lawson Bynum, and others. While O’Fallon was able to get it as close as 1 late in the game, Mater Dei took the 69-64 victory.
Ben Akoro – 2026 – SF – O’Fallon
Not only does Akoro have great physical tools but has also continued to develop his all-around game. The wing forward stands at 6’8” with tremendous length. This is in addition to his perimeter skills as he was a primary ball handler and went 2-3 from three including a deep three off the dribble. He finished the game with 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 blocks even while facing plenty of defensive attention including being face guarded. Akoro is such an impactful and versatile player which was highlighted by his ability to grab a strong rebound or block a shot and then take it the length off the court. Luke Barnett – 2026 – SG – Mater Dei
The Kansas commit is a confident shooter who is always a threat to shoot the ball once he passes half court. He has tremendous range burying a three off the dribble right before the half from beyond NBA range. In the game, Barnett finished with 29 points while hitting 7 seven threes in the win. Quickly off dribble hand offs, deep off the dribble, or spotting up in the corner, Barnett has a pure jumper and it’s easy to see why he’s regarded as one of the nation’s elite shooters. The 6’4” two guard came up clutch in the fourth quarter hitting back-to-back threes when the lead was down to one in the final minutes. He also hit a pair of free throws in the final seconds to seal the win.
Lawson Bynum – 2026 – F – O’Fallon
Bynum is a physical 6’6” forward with a strong build. He was able to drive right through defenders as well as finish a high percentage of his paint touches through contact. He was consistently making playing including a clutch runner with just 11 seconds to play to cut the deficit down to three. Bynum also proved to be a good passer out of the post seeing the floor and being a quick decision maker. He currently has offers from Iowa Central, Esslesia University, Carl Sandburg College, and others.
Jayden Dancy – 2026 – SG – O’Fallon
Dancy turned it a huge fourth quarter doing everything he could to get O’Fallon back in the game. After scoring just 5 points in the first three quarters, he put in 10 points in the fourth quarter alone. This included back-to-back threes with less than four minutes to play to get his team within one point. He finished with three threes in the game in addition to having some strong finishes in the paint. Dancy is a strong guard who is an aggressive defender and rebounds well.
Richie Ramirez – 2027 – PG – Mater Dei
Ramirez is an incredibly skilled scorer with great playmaking ability with the ball in his hands. He can score it in a variety of ways but excelled throughout this game getting all the way to the basket to finish with a game high 31 points in the win. The 6’3” guard was consistently beating his man off the dribble with his handle and burst as well to being able to play through contact and finish at a very high percentage of his drives. Ramirez can also shoot the ball hitting a pair of threes in the game. He has been offered by several division one programs.
