He started the second quarter looking to score with great confidence and had 13 points in the quarter to erase an early deficit for his team. This included back-to-back threes, a dunk, and getting himself to the line. There are few 6’9” players in the nation with a jump shot as good looking as his. After making a big jump in his game in 2024, Zens has taken another great step in his game this year. He shined in the victory scoring a game high 33 points even up against size, athleticism, and plenty of defensive attention on him. This included a clutch corner three to break a tie late in overtime followed up by a tough contested pull up jumper in the final minute to help grab the win. Zens used his frame very effectively getting to his spots in the mid-range and creating separation to his shots at a high percentage. Zens was also incredibly effective from the outside going 5-11 from three hitting ones from deep and contested. He was getting it done from all three levels as the 6’7” wing forward finished it very well inside versus plenty of size too. Not only a scorer, Zens was also key on the glass with 9 rebounds.
