One part was certainty not enough for this list as there are always plenty who need further attention from college coaches. Here are our next five who should see a boost in their recruitment.
Gilbert Flagel – 2026 – SF – Pella Christian (IA)
Flagel has gotten plenty of attention in various articles and it’s all well deserved. Throughout the spring and summer, he was consistently one of the top players on the NY2LA Association while playing for Drive Pro Select. While he averaged 19.2 points throughout the season, the 6’5” wing forwards game was on another level in July. To finish off the season, he averaged 26 points while shooting 69.4% from the field and 46.2% from three. He is a true three level scorer who can create his own shot but also plays with the strength to bully defenders to the basket. Flagel has drawn significant interest from division three programs but has shown he has scholarship level upside.
Drew Floyd – 2026 – PG – Martin Luther King (MI)
There are not many players in the area who can match the combination of Floyd’s distributing and on ball pressure abilities. He has such a great knack to set up his teammates for easy buckets as he such a skilled passer along with having tremendous vision. He was atop the leaders in assists throughout multiple NY2LA tournaments this year with the Michigan Playmakers. With his quickness and energy, Floyd is also a real playmaker defensively pressuring the ball and causing turnovers.
Logan Luxem – 2026 – PG – Hersey (IL)
For colleges looking for a pure point guard who has a great ability to create for others Luxem is a player to look at. He has all the tools of a true floor general with his tight handle, high IQ, court awareness and vision plus positional size at 6’3”. These were displayed all spring and summer with Full Package but especially the case when he helped them win the NY2LA Championship in July. During that tournament, Luxem was the leader in assists at the 17U level dishing out 6.5 of them per game along with 8.8 points. The weekend prior at the Final Chapter tournament, he averaged even more with 6.8 assists while still averaging double digit points himself. Luxem is a winning player that will certainly help a college team.
Brandon Willis – 2026 – PG – Ann Arbor Huron (MI)
With his play over the summer, Willis showed he is a player who can play at the next level. This was especially the case with his breakout performance in July at the NY2LA Summer Jam with The Academy. Not only did he average 12.5 points while shooting 50% from the field but added in 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1 steal. Willis proved to be an outside shooting threat hitting over 40% of his threes in three of the four NY2LA tournaments but is also able to impact the game in many ways with his point guard play being able to effectively create for others and aggressive on ball defense.
Carter Zuithoff – 2026 – F – Nicolet (WI)
Zuithoff is an under the radar 6’6” forward who is poised for a breakout senior season after what he showed this summer. He is a physical inside force on both ends of the floor but has also shown growing abilities. At a pair of NY2LA tournaments this summer, he was dominant on the glass averaging 11.5 rebounds, but his impact goes much greater. He also averaged 15.4 points in these tournaments using his length and physicality to finish inside but can also play on the perimeter handling the ball and attack the basket. Zuithoff is also a good passing forward who has also shown the ability to step out and hit the three.
