Even while being a very quiet several days in terms of recruitment across the region, there is still some significant headlines to catch up on. All this news is in addition to the commitment of Colin Stack which was covered in a previous article.

From Illinois’ 2026 class, Marshawn Cocroft has made his commitment. The all-state point guard of Kaneland High School and the Illinois Wolves picked Grand Valley State.

Another commitment coming from Illinois was made by Blake Renfro. The senior forward of McHenry and Fundamental U will be headed north to the state of Wisconsin with his commitment to UW-Platteville.

A commitment out of Indiana’s 2026 class was made by Austin Ford. The senior point guard of Brebuef Jesuit and INB Basketball Club will be headed to Wabash College.

It wouldn’t be a recruitment news article without an appearance from Brady Pettigrew. After being included last week for his offer from DePaul, the sophomore star guard of Meanstreets and Bolingbrook has been offered by Arizona State.

St. Norbert has picked up an in-state commitment for its 2026 recruitment class. This came from Brennen Hackbarth, a senior forward of Sheboygan Lutheran and Chapman North.

It has been a big few days for St. Norbert as they also landed a commitment out of Illinois. This one came from Luke Segroves, a 6’8” power forward of Mount Carmel

The newest player from Mercury Elite’s 2026 class to add an offer is TJ Hillman, who got a pair of them in the past few days. The point guard of Naperville Central picked up his offers from Saint Mary’s and Carthage College.

Another Mercury Elite senior adding an offer in recent days was Connor Kimme. The Kaneland guard got his from Concordia Wisconsin. He was also offered by Carthage College a few weeks ago.

KJ Miller is starting to become a popular name amongst D1 programs out of Illinois’ 2027 class. The 6’7” wing of Breakaway Basketball and Plainfield East took a visit to Loyola Chicago.

Reggie Hinton, a senior point guard of Gary West Side and the Indy Heat, picked up an offer from Johnson C. Smith University.

From Eastland High School and Outwork Elite, senior guard Parker Krogman received an offer from Lake Forest College.
