The newest member of Wisconsin’s 2026 class to receive their first scholarship offer was Cahlil Jones. Earlier this week, the 6’2” guard of Germantown High School and the Chapman Basketball Academy program received an offer from a division two program.

St. Cloud State became the first program to extend an offer to Jones. “It feels great to get my first offer it’s really a blessing and I thank God for it,” Jones said about picking up his first offer.

When asked about the Minnesota school, Jones said “I just like how they keep in contact and keep me updated. Just seems like a good place and environment.” Regarding his visit there, “it was good. Nice team and coaches. It was a nice campus as well.”

Along with St. Cloud State, Jones has also visited Rockhurst University and has one coming up soon to Malone University. Some of the other programs showing the most interest in him currently include Maryville, Menlo, and Purdue Northwest.

Jones is one of the most explosive players in Wisconsin’s 2026 class. He burst onto the scene last year with Chapman Basketball Academy which was his first-time playing grassroots basketball. Then in his junior season, he led Germantown in scoring with 20.2 points while shooting 58.3% from the field along with 4.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.1 steals per game to earn division one honorable mention all-state honors by the WBCA.
