After having received his first offer back in February from TCU and head coach Jamie Dixon, the recruitment of Caleb Steger has only continued to build. The 6’5” junior two guard of Jesuit College Prep of Dallas and Southern Assault has been very busy over the past few months adding additional offers coming from ACC, Big 12, and Pac 12 programs.

The 2025 guard has also added offers from Cal, North Texas, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, UC-Riverside, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia. In addition to his lengthy offer list, Steger has also taken a couple of visits recently.

“It was a great experience,” Steger said about a recent visit to LSU. “The whole coaching staff was extremely insightful and their close bond with the team seemed very special.” Another visit that he took recently was to a nearby American Athletic Conference school. “I went to the University of North Texas to watch a practice and the way they went about the practice was impressive and it shows with their success during the season.” When asked if any schools have been recruiting him the hardest, Steger said “The schools that have offered me and a few others have been reaching out consistently.”

Over the past couple of weeks, Steger has been sidelined by a hand injury. Prior to the injury, he was averaging 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists for his team who are sitting at a 14-2 record. He is looking to get back on the court next week and is looking to “continue our success” and has the goal of winning districts and making a run in the playoffs.
