Throughout his high school career, the game and recruiting stock of Ty Price of Butler County High School (KY) has continued to greatly build. After averaging 31.2 points per game last season as only a sophomore and earning second team all-state honors in Kentucky, the point guard has gotten himself on the radars of plenty of college coaches. His 31.2 points was third in all of Kentucky while he was second in the state with 144 made three pointers.

Not only is he on college coaches’ radars but the now junior has also received a few scholarship offers for himself. Back in April, Texas A&M Corpus Christi was the first to offer him. Over the past few months, he has also added offers from Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, and Southeast Missouri State. In addition to his offers, Price said that Evansville, Lamar, Mississippi State, Murray State, Northern Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and Western Kentucky are all recruiting him. Plus, Louisville, Purdue, and West Virginia have all come to watch him play.

Most recently in his recruitment, he has taken a visit to Eastern Kentucky this past weekend in addition to Southeast Missouri State a month ago. “I enjoyed both visits,” he said about his two most recent college trips. “Both are great schools with great coaching staffs that know how to win.”

There are few players at his age that can match all the tools that Price has. He is an elite scorer who can really shoot the ball from the outside but can also score it from all over the floor. He has a pure jumper with tremendous range and a very good ability to create his own shot. Price also has a very good ability to quickly get his shot off. Playing on the attack, he moves extremely well with the ball getting into the defense and finishes so well for his size in traffic inside.

Next up for the recruitment of Price is a visit to Mississippi State as well he is working on setting up a few other visits.
