On Sunday Kaleim Taylor announced his college commitment and will be staying close to home. The senior has picked the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and head coach Pat Baldwin. Taylor is a 6’3” guard at nearby Milwaukee Academy of Science. He played this past year with All-In Athletics Gold Gauntlet.

Coach Baldwin and staff have been involved with Taylor for some time now. They offered him a scholarship back in April of 2018. He had also had a scholarship offer from Grambling State and interest from a number of other division one schools.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee has been very active on the recruiting trail recently. Taylor is the third commitment to the Panthers in the last few weeks. He joins point guard Donovan Newby of Bloom High School (IL) and forward Grant Coleman of Mahomet-Seymour High School (IL). The trio will be a nice welcome to the Panthers that are coming off a tough 9-22 season.

Taylor is a talented and strong guard that excels on both sides of the basketball. He is a tough on-ball defender on the perimeter with his strength. On offense, he excels at attacking the basket. He is strong with the basketball in his hands and is able to get into the paint often. With his size and skill, he is able to play on or off the ball. Look for Taylor to have a big senior year at Milwaukee Academy of Science paired up with Bradley commit Darius Hannah.
