The month of July is right around the corner and while some eyes will be fixed solely on 2019 prospects a significant number will be watching the 2020 class as well as they begin to put their lists together for the class waiting to take center stage next spring.  Here are five talented sleepers or prospects that are quietly ready to open some eyes in the coming months…

Note – Listed in Alphabetical Order

LORNE BOWMAN – 2020 – PG – ORCHARD LAKE ST. MARY (MI) – R.E.A.C.H.
A skilled an instinctive young lead guard, Bowman handles the ball, he can create, and he has the ability to score at multiple levels with range that extends beyond the arc.  Playing up this spring Bowman has been solid for a highly talented R.E.A.C.H. Legends team and the athletic guard is primed to generate a lot of attention over the next 12-18 months as he continues to develop and improve.

CARTER GILMORE – 2020 – F – ARROWHEAD (WI) – PHENOM UNIVERSITY
A 6-7 plus length forward with ability to play the 3, 4, or 5 positions, Gilmore is a versatile skilled forward with instincts and feel who is just starting to realize his potential.  He can score from every level, he has excellent hands, he sees the floor well, and he brings both toughness and intangibles to the court on both ends.  Still growing with 6-9 or even 6-10 in his sights big picture wise, Gilmore was stellar this past May and equipped with a great work ethic and a high ceiling, his best basketball is in front of him.

WENDELL GREEN JR. – 2020 – PG – COUNTRY DAY (MI) – MI PLAYMAKERS
A quick and explosive guard with handles, vision, and athleticism, Green is a terror on both ends of the court and he generates a lot of problems with his instincts and quickness.  He can break down opposing guards, he has the ability to attack off the bounce to create or score, and he can knock down the perimeter shot with consistency.  A tough do it all guard who is an excellent leader, Green was stellar this past spring.

ISAIAH RIVERA – 2020 – G/F – GENESEO (IL) – QUAD CITY ELITE
A multi-dimensional wing with the ability to score at each level, Rivera is versatile and a matchup problem as he can blow past bigger defenders or use his strength and size to dominate smaller ones.  A scoring wing primarily, Rivera is constantly on the attack mode and he has the ability to score in bunches and take over the game.  Athletically Rivera is explosive vertically and he’s active on the defensive end where he’s shown an ability to create positive chaos for his team.

KALEIM TAYLOR – 2020 – G – MAS (WI) – MIL SPARTANS REBELS ELITE
A scoring guard with the ability to finish at multiple levels, Taylor has delivered some big performances this spring and the talented guard simply needs to continue to develop his skills and athleticism to take the next steps in his progression.  He can knock down the perimeter jumper but his bread and butter right now is on the attack where he can score through defenders, hit mid-range looks, finish in transition, etc.  Another one to watch closely in the class moving forward.
