One of Michigan's top 2020 prospects Jalen Terry continues to soar.  Last summer he was a key player on The Family’s 15U Nike EYBL Peach Jam championship team.  Carrying that momentum into the high school season he has helped lead his Beecher (Flint) team to a 9-1 league record while proving he is among the elite.  Being a legitimate top 50 talent (#44 in the latest NY2LASPORTS.COM rankings) Terry might develop into one of the big stories coming out of the Midwest these next couple of months.

Terry is as explosive and athletic as they get at the guard position.  Standing at only 5-11 he is still extremely long for his height.  Still developing and finding his jump shot he is at his best attacking the rim because of his ability to rise above and finish so effortlessly.  Terry can take advantage of his opponents with his craftiness around the basket or outside on the perimeter.  A true leader who takes pride in leading his team, not many players are as mature as Terry at this stage.  If he has weapons around him, whether on the wings or in the post, he will get those guys the ball in the best position possible to score a bucket.

Hearing from colleges across the country Terry currently holds offers from Iowa, Cleveland State, Tulsa, Detroit, and Oakland.  Terry has taken visits to in-state powers Michigan and Michigan State who have also been expressing strong interest so don’t be surprised if they pull the trigger and offer the talented guard sooner than later.  Terry’s recruitment has potential to blow up on a national level during the next 6-8 months if he continues his high level of play.
