One of Michigan's top 2019 prospects Mark "Rocket" Watts is having himself a great season.  Coming off a huge spring and summer with The Family of the NIKE EYBL, Watts has been able to continue his successes.  Averaging 31 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds to help lead his Old Redford Academy (Detroit) team to a 10-4 record.

Not many players have the combination of Watts speed and craftiness.  Being extremely fast he can blow by defenders while also putting them on skates with his unique crossovers.  If defenders leave him any space, he tends to make them pay for it as he can shoot the lights out if he gets going.  Being surrounded by talent he doesn't wait long to get his teammates involved as he always finds the open man.  He takes pride in his defense and loves to pressure his defenders the whole length of the floor.

Watts recruitment blew up over the last 12-24 months and he now holds offers from many of the top programs in the country including, but not limited to, Michigan State, Michigan, Alabama, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Missouri, Pittsburgh, TCU, UNLV, USC, Xavier, and more.  He has also taken visits to Marquette, Michigan State, Michigan, Missouri, Pittsburgh, and Mississippi State in recent months and hopes to checkout a couple more campuses soon.

Watts was 1 of 24 players selected to participate at USA Basketball’s "Next Generation Sunday Program" during the NCAA Final Four weekend in San Antonio.  With a huge spring and summer coming up for the talented 2019 guard he is ready to take it all in.  You can expect to hear a lot about Watts in the future as if he continues to work hard as the sky is the limit.
