Wendell Moore Jr., a top 30 prospect in the class of 2019 (i.e. #27 on the most recent NY2LASPORTS.COM National Player Rankings), has been making noise since his younger years and has continued his strong play on a national level.  Moore is currently averaging 26 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3 assists while leading his Cox Mill (NC) team to a 14-3 record.  Leading his team to a state championship as a sophomore Moore has kept that same goal for this season.  Moore was also named the states player of the year for all public schools by the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association last year.

The 6-6 wing is a do it all type player that excels at getting to the rim and finishing.  Moore is good at creating his own scoring opportunities, his jump shot has improved a ton in the last year, and he loves to get after it defensively.

Moore cut his list of potential schools in the fall to 10:  Duke, North Carolina, Florida State, Kansas, Maryland, NC State, Ohio State, South Carolina, Washington and Wake Forest after holding other offers from schools like Florida, Syracuse, Tennessee, amongst others

While Moore's main focus is on the high school season right now he has taken a host of unofficial visits to North Carolina, Duke, South Carolina, Wake Forest, and NC State since the fall time. Coaches from Kansas, Kentucky, Wake Forest, South Carolina, North Carolina, and NC State have all visited the 2019 stud as well.

While there is no time table on him making a decision yet look for Moore to continue his strong junior campaign and carry it over to the grassroots season where he plays with Team CP3 of the Nike EYBL.
