Team BBC has had its fair share of dominant guards of late. UK commit and McDonald’s All American Immanuel Quickley, Rutgers commit Montez Mathis, etc.  If Class of 2019 talent Anthony Walker III of Perry Hall (Baltimore, MD) has his way college coaches will know “they make forwards in Baltimore too”.

The 6-9 long and athletic forward has seen interest pick up as he winds down his junior season.  Walker has heard from Villanova, UCONN, UMASS, Oklahoma State, Tennessee Tech, Illinois, American, Mount St Mary’s, California, Butler, and Arizona State among others.  It’s only just starting for him as the young man is just scratching the surface of his potential.  Team BBC founder Jide Sodipo said Walker is “one of the most athletic prospects he’s ever been around” and a kid who’s best basketball is all ahead of him.

Walker, who feasts above the rim, says adding weight and extending his range are his biggest goals as he moves towards the 2018 grassroots season.  A lanky forward with solid instincts defensively and an ability to slash and finish, Walker seems primed for a big spring and summer and looks like a late blooming Class of 2019 prospect who stands to see his recruiting interest jump substantially this spring and summer.  Up first though is the regular season where Walker hopes to help his Perry Hall High School team as they defend their state title.

He plays with the Team BBC program during the grassroots travel season.
