The class of 2020 continues to emerge throughout the country and the state of Wisconsin is no exception as a number of prospects are delivering quality efforts on the hardwood this season.  Here’s a brief update on four that are contributing at a high level right now…

Note – Listed in Alphabetical Order – This is not an exclusive list

JONATHAN DAVIS – 2020 – G/F – LA CROSSE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL
Davis has been nothing short of excellent so far this season posting huge numbers.  Averaging 27.4 points through 9 games, Davis has helped his team win 8 straight after losing their season opener.  He is leading power house La Crosse Central who is fresh off of a Division 2 state championship to what looks like is going to be another great season for them.  The ultra-athletic two sport athlete (Football) has been catching the eyes of high major programs like Wisconsin and UNLV who have both offered the 6-3 guard recently.  A potential high major impact talent with a huge upside, look for Davis to continue his high level of play the rest of the way as he shares the court with other 2020 standouts Terrance Thompson and his twin brother Jordan Davis, both of who are legitimate prospects in their own right.

JALEN JOHNSON – 2020 – G – SUN PRAIRIE HIGH SCHOOL
Johnson was out for the first six games of the season and we didn’t have to wait long for his presence to be felt again.  Since returning he has led his Sun Prairie team to three straight wins to help improve their overall record to 8-1.  The 6-8 do it all wing has averaged 20 points to go along with 7 assists in their wins.  With schools like Wisconsin, Marquette, Iowa, UNLV, Purdue, and West Virgina already offering him, the blue bloods are keeping a close eye on him too.  Johnson visited Kentucky and Duke already in the fall and has been hearing a lot from North Carolina too.  Look for Johnson to continue to make noise this season as his talented Sun Prairie is many people's favorites to possibly win the state championship in March.

JAMARI SIBLEY – 2020 – F – NICOLET HIGH SCHOOL
Sibley has been having a very solid sophomore campaign for Nicolet averaging 16 points and 11 rebounds through 9 games.  His team who was struggling to find ways to close out games early in the season have won three straight to help improve their record to 5-4.  The future is bright for Sibley who plays with Wisconsin Playground Warriors during the grassroots season.  Sibley who was offered by UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee a couple of months ago earned his first high major offer from UNLV this winter.  With schools like Purdue, Wisconsin, Illinois, Marquette, Iowa, and more keeping close eyes on him the 6-9 forward will continue to grow on a national level considering his best basketball is in front of him.

KALEIM TAYLOR – 2020 – PG – MILWAUKEE ACADEMY OF SCIENCE
Not many players have blown up as much as Taylor has over the course of a couple of months.  After earning co-MVP honors at the prestigious NY2LA Futures camp in the Fall Taylor has continued his high-level of play into the high school season. Taylor is averaging 21 points and 5 assists for a very talented but young Milwaukee Academy of Science team.  Taylor is the floor general of that team and controls the whole pace of the game for them.  For only being a sophomore, he has been playing well beyond his age and is backing up the hype.  UNLV was the first school to pull the trigger and offer him but other programs like Wisconsin, Iowa, Iowa State, South Dakota, UW-Milwaukee, and UW-Green Bay are starting to keep a close eye on the 6-1 guard.
