A handful of alumni continued to deliver on the pro and collegiate side the past couple days as Brad Beal, Karl-Anthony Towns, etc. all delivered big individual performances early in the week. Here’s a quick look some who stood out on the pro and collegiate side Monday and Tuesday…
MONDAY NBA ALUMNI STANDOUTS
Brad Beal (St. Louis Eagles) erupted for 41 points 8 assists and 5 rebounds but it wasn’t enough as the Washington Wizards fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers 140-135.
Glenn Robinson III (SYF Players) scored 14 points and Myles Turner (Texas Select) added 10 points to help the Indiana Pacers to a 93-90 win Monday over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Jahlil Okafor (Mac Irvin) scored 16 points and 4 rebounds but it wasn’t enough as the Philadelphia 76ers fell to the Detroit Pistons 113-96.
Tim Hardaway Jr. (Mac Irvin) scored 14 points for the Atlanta Hawks who fell to the Utah Jazz 120-95.
Buddy Hield (Kansas Pray & Play) scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds for the New Orleans Pelicans in a 111-106 win Monday.
Karl-Anthony Towns (Sports U Team Izod) scored 35 points and grabbed 8 rebounds but it wasn’t enough as the Minnesota Timberwolves fell to the Miami Heat 115-113.
Gary Harris (D3 Pride) scored 20 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for the Denver Nuggets in a 110-97 win over the Dallas Mavericks.
MONDAY COLLEGE ALUMNI STANDOUTS
Dean Wade (Mid-Kansas) had 20 points, six rebounds, and four assists, but Kansas State fell 74-71 at No. 3 Kansas. Frank Mason III (Team Loaded) had 21 points and 3 assists for Kansas in the win.
No. 4 Louisville dropped a 71-55 decision at No. 12 Virginia. V.J. King (King James Shooting Stars) went for 24 points in the loss.
TUESDAY NBA ALUMNI STANDOUTS
Frank Kaminsky III (Illinois Wolves) had 12 points 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the Charlotte Hornets in a 111-107 win over the Brooklyn Nets. Isaiah Whitehead (Juice All-Stars) had 11 points and 7 assists in the loss for the Nets.
Evan Turner (Illinois Wolves) had 11 points and 4 assists to help the Portland Trailblazers to a 114-113 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. Harrison Barnes (All Iowa Attack & Howard Pulley) had 26 points and 5 rebounds in the loss for Dallas.
TUESDAY COLLEGE ALUMNI STANDOUTS
Chris Chiozza (Team Thad) paced No. 17 Florida with 15 points in a 72-60 victory at Georgia.
Marquette was defeated by No. 22 Butler 68-65 at home. Luke Fischer (Wisconsin Swing) had 19 points and 13 rebounds in the loss. Tyler Lewis (Team Loaded) had 8 points and 5 assists in the win for Butler.
John Collins (Florida Flash) dropped 24 points and 14 rebounds, but Wake Forest was upended 88-81 at Notre Dame. V.J. Beachem (EG10) scored 19 points for the Irish.
Jaaron Simmons (All-Ohio Red) exploded for 30 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists, but Ohio fell 97-87 to Central Michigan.
Illinois upset Northwestern 68-61 on the road. Malcolm Hill (SW IL Jets) led the way with 14 points and nine rebounds. Bryant McIntosh (EG10) paced the Wildcats with 21 points.
Paris Lee (Mac Irvin Fire) dropped 26 points as Illinois State routed Drake 82-53 on the road.
Matt Thomas (Wisconsin Playmakers) had a team-high 17 points, but Iowa State fell 67-65 at Texas.
Toledo dropped Eastern Michigan 73-57 at home. Nate Navigato (Mercury Elite) led the way with 16 points off the bench.
Andrew White (Team Loaded) went for 23 points and five rebounds as Syracuse edged Clemson 82-81.
Kris Jenkins (D.C. Assault) had 9 points and 4 rebounds while Jalen Brunson (Mac Irvin) added 7 points and 4 assists to help Villanova grind out a 75-64 win over Georgetown Tuesday.
