The 2016 Kwik Trip Classic will be held on Saturday in Kaukauna. Eight of the state’s top teams will be in attendance in what should be an exciting day of basketball…

Middleton vs. Stevens Point – 2:30 PM
Two Division 1 state title contenders meet in the opener. The reigning three-time Division 1 champs, Stevens Point, will be without star forward Joey Hauser, but are off to a 5-1 start thanks to 18.1 points per game from Drew Blair. Led by Wofford commit Storm Murphy and North Dakota State commit Tyree Eady, Middleton is off to a 4-1 start this season.

New Berlin Eisenhower vs. Hortonville – 4:30 PM
One of the state’s tougher defensive teams, New Berlin Eisenhower already has quality wins over Milwaukee Washington and Wauwatosa West. They’ll get Green Bay commit Ryan Krueger and Hortonville, who are looking for their first victory. Krueger is in the midst of a monster season, putting up 29.0 ppg.

La Crosse Logan vs. Whitnall – 6:15 PM
La Crosse Logan is out to a 2-0 start this season, thanks to one of the state’s top sleepers, 2018 point guard C.J. Siegel, who’s averaging better than 20 ppg. They’ll have their hands full with Whitnall and Wisconsin commit Tyler Herro, who are currently 5-1 on the year.

Madison East vs. Kaukauna – 8:00 PM
The nightcap will feature two of the top players in the 2018 class. The defending Division 2 state champions, Kaukauna, are 2-0 this season. The Ghosts are led by West Virginia commit Jordan McCabe, who’s putting up 27.0 ppg. One of the state’s top rising prospects, Keshawn Justice, leads a 3-2 Madison East squad into what should be an entertaining battle.
