2015 Corydon (Ind.) Central forward Bronson Kessinger announced that he has committed to Indiana State on Monday. He took an official visit to the Missouri Valley Conference school over the weekend. He picked Indiana State over Ball State and Western Kentucky.

Bronson Kessinger is a very good athlete that is excellent around the basket. He has proven that he can rebound at a high level against top talent. His rebounding skill should translate to the next level. Kessinger also loves to drive the baseline which often results in impressive dunks.

Kessinger visited Indiana State many times over the last couple years. He visited Terre Haute as much as any school that recruited him. There were many programs that wanted Kessinger as well. He had offers from Ball State, Evansville, Lehigh, UNC-Greensboro, Kennesaw State, Western Kentucky, Illinois State, IUPUI, IPFW, Toledo and Bradley over his career.

“I've had a good feeling about where I'm gonna go for a while,” Kessinger said of his commitment. He was scheduled to take an official visit to Western Kentucky, but he decided to make the announcement before taking that trip. He also took an official visit to Ball State before making his decision.

“Western Kentucky was strong down the stretch. They were definitely in consideration,” said Kessinger's travel coach Jim Reamer. “Coach Whitford and his staff at Ball State did a great job of getting them in position late as well.”

Kessinger is the first member of the Indiana State 2015 recruiting class. The Sycamores were 23-11 in the 2013-2014 season. Coach Greg Lansing has built Indiana State into a consistent contender in the Missouri Valley Conference.
