Day two of the 2013 annual NY2LA Sports Next Level Invitational kicked off Thursday at Homestead High School in Mequon, Wisconsin in front of another full gym of college coaches.  As they day moved along a number of talented prospects like highly regarded big man Evan Boudreaux of Team NLP delivered solid efforts.  We continue our coverage of the annual hoops spectacular with a look at Boudreaux and others who shined on Thursday...

Top Performers
Trevor Anderson – 2016 – PG – Wisconsin Academy
6-1 – Stevens Point HS – Stevens Point, WI
Although he struggled from the field, Anderson still found a way to score a game-high 24 points in a win over REACH Legends Thursday morning. The freshman floor general handled a lot of ball pressure throughout the game, but still managed to take care of the rock and make plays without forcing things offensively.

Evan Boudreaux – 2015 – PF – Team NLP
6-7 – Lake Forest HS – Lake Forest, IL
Boudreaux scored a game-high 18 points in a win over Texas D1 Ambassadors Thursday afternoon. The junior forward created mismatch problems throughout the game, taking his defender off the dribble and hitting shots from the outside. Boudreaux also has a high motor to control things down low.

Riley LaChance – 2014 – SG – Riley LaChance
6-1 – Central HS – Brookfield, WI
LaChance poured in a game-high 27 points in a win over REACH Legends. The senior guard struggled a bit from the field, but kept his team on top throughout by hitting timely shots. LaChance also dished out five assists Thursday afternoon as well.

Jake Showalter – 2014 – SG – Wisconsin Swing
6-3 – Germantown HS – Germantown, WI
As he often does, Showalter caught fire from beyond the arc in a win over the Peoria Irish Thursday morning. The 6-3 sharpshooter hit five 3-pointers, including four-straight en route to a game-high 15 points. Showalter didn’t need a lot of room to operate, often hitting shots with a hand in his face.

Justin Tillman – 2014 – F – REACH Legends
6-8 – Pershing HS – Redford, MI
Tillman gave a valiant effort against Ray Allen Select Thursday afternoon. The 6-8 forward put together a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds in the loss. Tillman showed good footwork and moves in the post and snatched just about every rebound that came his way.

Stock Boosters
C.J. Carr – 2014 – PG – Quad City Elite
5-7 – Rock Island HS – Rock Island, IL
For the second straight game, Carr came up big for Quad City Elite. The senior scored 25 points in a win over Minnesota Fury. Carr continuously blew by his defender and made some tough finishes at the rim. He also hit a couple shots from downtown to help lift his team to a close victory.

Drew Fredrickson – 2015 – SG – Wisconsin Academy
5-9 – Mount Horeb HS – Mount Horeb, WI
Fredrickson scored a game-high 17 points for Wisconsin Academy in their win over the Iowa Mavericks Thursday morning. The junior guard shot the ball well from the perimeter and was also able to get into the paint off the dribble. Fredrickson is a high IQ player that lets the game come to him.

Sam Hauser – 2016 – F – Wisconsin Academy
6-5 – Stevens Point HS – Stevens Point, WI
Hauser had his shot falling from the outside Thursday night. The sophomore stretch forward scored 17 points, displaying a very smooth shot from beyond the arc. Hauser was also working the boards hard, collecting a number of rebounds on the offensive end and keeping plays alive.

Trishton Jackson – 2016 – G/F – REACH Legends
6-2 – West Bloomfield HS – West Bloomfield, MI
Jackson scored 18 points in a loss to Wisconsin Academy Thursday morning. The 6-2 guard was able to get just about any shot he wanted and also shoot over his defender when covered. Jackson is a long wing that can handle the ball and create opportunities for his team. He followed up that performance with 17 points in a loss to Playground Elite later that night.

Chris King – 2015 – SG – Kingdom Hoops
6-0 – Hoover HS – Des Moines, IA
King shot the lights out for Kingdom Hoops in a Thursday night loss to REACH Legends. The junior scored 23 points, while connecting on seven 3-pointers. King was able to score most of his points in isolation by pulling up off the dribble.
Trevor Anderson is receiving interest from Virginia, Indiana, Northern Iowa, Creighton, Wisconsin and Iowa State.
Sam Hauser has an offer from Northern Iowa. Creighton, Virginia, Wisconsin, and others have shown interest.

Star Watch
Lamonte Bearden – 2014 – PG – Wisconsin Swing
6-2 – Germantown HS – Germantown, WI
Bearden had a strong showing Thursday morning in a win over the Peoria Irish. The 6-2 guard made a bunch of plays offensively, particularly at the end of the first half to help blow the game open. Bearden shot the ball well from the outside, and also got to the rim when he pleased.

Michael Finke – 2014 – PF – Peoria Irish
6-9 – Centennial HS – Champaign, IL
Finke showed his versatility as a big man, knocking down 3-pointers and taking defenders off the dribble. The Illinois commit had 12 points in a loss to the Wisconsin Swing Thursday morning.
