While a host of 2013 prospects are off the board or winding things down, others continue to see their stock elevate as they add offers and interest each week.  One such talent who fits the latter is Bolingbrook (Ill.) 2013 Forward Ben Moore, a solid prospect who’s seen his stock take off after delivering huge performances in July.  We caught up with Moore on Thursday to get the latest…

Moore just returned from Colorado State last weekend, and while he’s still in the process, of setting all five visits, more and more schools continue to get involved with the 6-8 forward, including Northwestern, who offered on Wednesday.

“I was surprised by it,” Moore told NY2LASPORTS.COM Thursday night. “I was very happy that they offered me. I was very happy that they would consider me.”

“I feel like they’re very interesting and they’re going in the right direction. It’s a school I should really look into.”

Moore took his first official visit to Colorado State last weekend. The Rams made a big impression on the Illinois Forward.

“I have had great conversations with them,” Moore said. “I feel like they’re really going in the right direction. I really liked my official down there.”

“One thing that stood out was how hard they work and how dedicated they are to trying to win. The players and the coaches, they really want to win.”

Moore also has official visits scheduled with SMU and Illinois State. Moore will next head to SMU, a trip he’s anxiously awaiting.

“I’ve been in touch with Coach (Larry) Brown and Coach (Jerrance) Howard,” Moore explained. “It’s been nice talking to them. They’re excited for me to go down there and I’m excited to get down there.”

“The coaching staff is really good. They’re rebuilding the program and trying to win a lot of games.”

With two official visits left to use at his disposal, Moore is still hearing from a couple other high major schools.

Missouri, Tennessee, and Wisconsin have all started to express late interest and could receive an official visit from Moore, should they offer.

“Missouri, I’ve talked to the Head Coach (Frank Haith) a couple times and I’m usually in contact with Coach (Rick) Carter.”

“Tennessee, I talked to Coach (Tracy) Webster a couple times. I believe he’s supposed to be coming to an open gym and letting me know what they think.”

“Wisconsin, they just called me today. They’re coming to a couple of my open gyms.”

Moore played with Derrick Rose All-Stars during the grassroots travel season.
